It is important to me to stay informed about world events and one of the newest communication networks are called blogs, which are simply citizen journalists who range from the sloppiest of propaganda spinners to serious thinkers who extensivly link to their sources and quoates. They have become much more valuable to me than most news programs since they cover topics in a deeper analysis. Here are some of my favorites... Firedog Lake - One of my personal favorites. Jane Hamsher and friends deliver progessive deconstruction of current events with passion and wicked humor. Setting the new standard for Citizen Journalism. Americablog - A Great Nation deserves the truth. Deep in the heart of DC. Brad Blog - focuses with issues related specifically to the voting process. It's not about right and left. It's about right and wrong. The Rude Pundit - A favorite guilty pleasures. Lot's of snark and lot's of vugarity disguise rapier analysis of topical news. Jesus General and Betty Bowers - For those who like to mix religeon and politics (with lots of cheek!) Earth Family Alpha - A visionary blog, someone like me who believes we will all pull through this by focusing on our humanity and rolling up our sleeves... More Blogosphere... links ... -

Keeps tabs on current events worldwide. Buzz Flash - Hard hitting editorial links to major political stories. Watching America - Has links and english translations to many of the major papers in allot of countries. Find out what they are thinking about us elsewhere. Snopes - A great Urban Legends site. You will be amazed at some of the great myths of our time. WantTo Know - Reliable, verifiable information on major cover-ups and a call to work together for the good of all. 8/28/2007 - Michael Vick and Animal Rights -The reason Vick's crimes crossed the line for so many here in the US was not only that the allegations were so heinous and brutal, but that his attitude seemed indifferent to the crimes. Michael Vick and others like him do not think of dogs as pets, let alone a family member. The wrath directed at Vick comes from people who love dogs firsthand, which is not something everyone understands... There are still many people who consider animals livestock, which is a clever little euphemism that has always taken the humanity out of the animal. It is only a small step beyond that to deny the animal a soul and therefore they only become "stock" to use as one pleases. After all we are "given dominion" over the animals by nature of our superior intellect right? (Does that mean it is OK for the Grey Aliens to abduct us and experiment on us? I digress... )more... 4/5/2007 - Time to Rejoin the Galactic Community - The former govenor of Arizona Fife Simington has finally admitted ten years after the fact that a HUGE triangular shaped craft flew over Phoenix in 1997 and the reason they didn't admit it back then was they didn't want anyone to panic. Almost 10,000 people witnessed this craft - panic was not how the vast majority described their experience. More like awe and wonder. Let's all stop pretending this is a question of if we are being visited by extraterrestrial peoples. It is a question of who it serves to keep this knowlege suppressed. -
